Lincoln came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Spearfish Spartans with a sharp 21-8 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Spearfish, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
