Basketball Recap: Furr Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Forest last Tuesday, Furr came back down to earth. The Furr Brahmans lost 97-76 to the Yates Lions on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Brahmans still had to take the loss.

Furr's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Yates, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Furr and Yates should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Furr (ranked 657th) will meet Northside (ranked 1357th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Furr is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Yates will challenge Scarborough at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday up 1,242 places (258 vs. 1500).
