Dayspring Christian Academy and Platte Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Dayspring Christian Academy had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Josiah Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Dayspring Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Vaniddekinge, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
