Recap: Larue County Hawks vs. Campbellsville Eagles

There's no place like home for the Larue County Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Campbellsville by a score of 63-52 on Monday. Given Larue County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Campbellsville is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daniel Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Blakey, who scored 12 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deondre Weathers, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Weathers hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Rowan Petett was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Larue County pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Campbellsville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
