Basketball Recap: Jordan Barnhart Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Del Norte

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Fe Christian, Sage Creek was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-48 win over the Del Norte Nighthawks. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Nighthawks on their court since January 9, 2017.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sage Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Barnhart, who posted 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Samuel Jahries was another key player, putting up 19 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Sage Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Sage Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Del Norte, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Sage Creek will welcome Poway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Del Norte, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-56 loss against Bonita Vista on the 10th.
