Football Game Preview: Springstead vs. Lakewood Ranch

Springstead will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Lakewood Ranch at 7:30 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

Springstead suffered a grim 7-28 defeat to Mitchell last Friday. Springstead's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Nathan Sims, who picked up 141 yards on the ground.

Meanwhile, Lakewood Ranch took a serious blow against Venice, falling 0-65. Lakewood Ranch were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-51.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
