Softball Recap: North Lincoln Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Lincoln can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kings Mountain Mountaineers on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Maysen Reames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

North Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Kings Mountain, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

North Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kings Mountain, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against East Rowan on the 9th.
