Volleyball Recap: Agoura Takes a Loss

If Agoura was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Calabasas last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oaks Christian Lions on Wednesday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Agoura started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

Agoura has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Oaks Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Agoura is set to take on their familiar foe Thousand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oaks Christian will square off against rival Calabasas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
