Baseball Recap: Marianapolis Prep Takes a Loss

The Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Greens Farms Academy Dragons on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Golden Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nick Gouveia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Chase Morin, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Marianapolis Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Greens Farms Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-9.

While Marianapolis Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
