Baseball Recap: Warrensburg Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Warrensburg dropped their record down to 15-14 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrisonville Wildcats. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Harrisonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.

For Harrisonville's part, Aiden Stolte made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Stolte has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Asher Hall was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Goss, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Looking ahead, Warrensburg will head out on the road to take on Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrisonville has already played their next contest (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
