Basketball Recap: Washington County Christian School Takes a Loss

Washington County Christian School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 40-31 to the Calvary Christian Academy Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-27 last Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Washington County Christian School lost, don't look at Ayden Jones. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points.

Washington County Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the win was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 2-0.

Washington County Christian School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-25 loss against Santa Rosa Christian on the 17th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against East Hill Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
