Soccer Game Preview: Greenwood vs. Greenville

Greenwood is 2-8 against Greenville since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Greenwood Eagles will welcome the Greenville Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Greenwood came up short against Mauldin and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Greenville kept a clean sheet against Easley on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Green Wave. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Red Raiders were the better team in the second half.

Charlie Dennis and Andy Latham scored both of Greenville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Greenwood's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3-1. As for Greenville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
