Isabella Vertudez was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 18 assists and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Alster, who had nine digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Carondelet was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cotate got the win against Elsie Allen on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rancho Cotate took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-7, 25-6.
Carondelet better focus on containing Avery Johnson and Delilah Morie as the pair were huge in Rancho Cotate's win. Johnson had 13 aces and ten assists, while Morie had five aces and two assists. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Carondelet's record is now 24-9. As for Rancho Cotate, their record now sits at 24-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Carondelet has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8 aces per game.
