Softball Recap: Linton-Stockton Comes Up Short

If Linton-Stockton was feeling good fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Shakamak on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miners fell 7-2 to the Barr-Reeve Vikings on Wednesday. The Miners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Linton-Stockton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Barr-Reeve, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Linton-Stockton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 26-5 win against Eastern Greene on the 8th. As for Barr-Reeve, they will head out to challenge Evansville Reitz at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
