Basketball Recap: Marie Philip Takes a Loss

Marie Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 36-19 fall against Boston University Academy. The Galloping Ghosts were down 32-9 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Faith Kirlis was Marie Philip's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kirlis also led the team in rebounds with 12. Kimberlie Ange took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Marie Philip's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Boston University Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marie Philip will host Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boston University Academy, they will welcome Woodward at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
