Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Big Lake Hornets

The Princeton Tigers will take on the Big Lake Hornets in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Big Lake likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Princeton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-69 to Cambridge-Isanti. The Tigers have struggled against the Bluejackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Big Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 71-58 win over North Branch on Friday.

Big Lake's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Princeton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Princeton came up short against Big Lake in their previous meeting back in February, falling 80-70. Can Princeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
