Volleyball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Takes a Loss

Ygnacio Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alhambra Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

Allan Hernandez paced Ygnacio Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Hernandez also shared the team's lead in assists with Adam Clamucha: they picked up two each. Finally, Clamucha was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alhambra, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Coming up, Ygnacio Valley is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Mt. Diablo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ygnacio Valley is facing Mt. Diablo at the right time seeing as Mt. Diablo is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Alhambra, they will welcome Miramonte at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
