Basketball Recap: North Branch Takes a Loss

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Osceola Chieftains. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 382nd in Minnesota, while the Chieftains are ranked 157th in Wisconsin).

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

North Branch will take on Hermantown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Osceola has already played their next contest (against New Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
