Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Onsted's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Onsted won the last time they faced Sand Creek, and Karlie Kimerer did her part to make sure it happened again. The Onsted Wildcats took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 46-16 victory over the Sand Creek Aggies thanks to Kimerer, who posted 21 points and eight steals. Onsted is 9-1 when Kimerer posts three or more steals, but 1-5 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Hallenbeck, who scored ten points and eight boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Onsted has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Sand Creek, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Onsted didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-41 win against Hudson on the 11th. As for Sand Creek, they will head out to challenge Erie-Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
