Soccer Game Preview: Larkin vs. Round Lake

The Larkin Royals will head out to take on the Round Lake Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Larkin has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Larkin fell victim to Geneva and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Vikings. Larkin have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Round Lake and Elgin finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw last Saturday.

Round Lake's draw makes their record 0-0-2 this season. As for Larkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Larkin suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Round Lake when the teams last played back in March of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Royals were down 5-0.
