Softball Game Preview: Frontier Titans vs. Centennial Golden Hawks

For the second straight game, Frontier will face off against Centennial. The Titans will face off against the Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Frontier's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Centennial's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Frontier had taken Centennial down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Titans fell just short of the Golden Hawks by a score of 2-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.

For Centennial's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Andersen, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
