Basketball Recap: Central Falls Takes a Loss

Central Falls lost against Lincoln back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Central Falls Warriors fell just short of the Lincoln Lions by a score of 43-41. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Bernardino led the charge by putting up 12 points. Those 12 points gave Bernardino a new career-high. Brielle Lambert was another key player, posting ten points.

Central Falls now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Central Falls will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Block Island at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lincoln, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-32 defeat against North Smithfield on the 27th.
