Basketball Game Preview: Crooms Academy Panthers vs. Orlando Science Orcas

Having just played yesterday, the Crooms Academy Panthers will get right back to it and host the Orlando Science Orcas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Crooms Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.

It was a proper cat-fight when Crooms Academy challenged Oasis Christian on Tuesday. Crooms Academy blew past Oasis Christian 73-41. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Orlando Science posted their closest victory since February 1, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged First Academy out 39-36.

Crooms Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Orlando Science, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Crooms Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Orlando Science when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 64-53. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Orlando Science's Glen Wickersham, who posted 22 points.
