Volleyball Recap: Vista Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Vista Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Doherty Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Vista Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Vista Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Toryn Dempsey had 25 digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Dempsey.

Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Doherty, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Vista Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Rampart on the 23rd. As for Doherty, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 23rd.
