Baseball Recap: Unaka Takes a Loss

If Unaka was riding high fresh off their 19-9 takedown of Cloudland last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers fell just short of the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Unaka's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Tri-Cities Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Unaka will square off against West Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they will take on Happy Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
