Football Recap: Crowley County Chargers vs. Fowler Grizzlies
If Crowley County was feeling good fresh off their 50-6 takedown of Sangre de Cristo last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crowley County Chargers took a hard 39-22 fall against the Fowler Grizzlies on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Fowler found their leader in sophomore Brock True, who rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, True is now averaging an impressive 105.6 rushing yards per game. Cael True was Brock's top target, picking up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 30 yards.
Crowley County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Fowler, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.
