Volleyball Recap: Portageville Takes a Loss

Portageville suffered their biggest loss since September 2nd on Saturday. They came up short against the Bismarck Indians, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Taryn Irby paced Portageville's offense, picking up ten kills. Irby got some help from Mia Scherer and her 14 assists.

Bismarck found their leader in sophomore Karlee Dickey, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Portageville's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Bismarck, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Portageville will be playing at home against Sikeston at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Bismarck, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Advance on the 27th.
