Volleyball Game Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. Nordonia Knights

Hudson is a perfect 4-0 against Nordonia since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Explorers will host the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hudson extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Sam Disney. The Explorers blew past Mentor 3-0 on Saturday thanks in part to Disney, who had 13 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Hudson's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mentor to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Nordonia had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Badgers by a score of 2-0.

Nordonia's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Hudson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Hudson took their victory against Nordonia when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Explorers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
