Baseball Recap: Mosley Wins Going Away Against Mcminn Central

Mosley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt McMinn Central on Tuesday. The Mosley Dolphins were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the McMinn Central Chargers. The Dolphins not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

Christian Zediker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Mosley got a big performance out of Xavier Demro, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Demro is becoming a predictor of Mosley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Peyton Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Mosley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Mosley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for McMinn Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Coming up, Mosley will take on Farragut in a tournament on Wednesday. Farragut's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Mosley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McMinn Central, they will head out to take on Fleming Island at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
