Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Crestview on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Crestview Bulldogs by a score of 48-46. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

It was another big night for Jredyn Bufford, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and five assists for Crestview. Another player making a difference was Braylon Phillips, who had six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Booker T. Washington is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4. As for Crestview, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Booker T. Washington will host Pine Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crestview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-35 win against Pace on the 12th.
