Baseball Recap: Redwood Triumphs

While Redwood's victory against Archie Williams wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redwood Giants narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Giants in their matchups with the Peregrine Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Jake Post tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Redwood is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, TJ Beck was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Theo Trono, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Redwood back to even at 3-3-1. As for Archie Williams, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Redwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against Archie Williams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
