Basketball Game Preview: Middleton Vikings vs. Columbia Wildcats

The Middleton Vikings will face off against the Columbia Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Middleton comes in on three and Columbia on four.

Last Saturday, everything went Middleton's way against Nampa as Middleton made off with a 62-39 win. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Columbia rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 69-62.

Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Middleton, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Middleton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Columbia in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 67-63 victory. Will Middleton repeat their success, or does Columbia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
