Basketball Recap: Hesperia Christian Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Hesperia Christian Patriots had to suffer through a 77-33 loss at the hands of the Serrano Diamondbacks. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Hesperia Christian lost, don't look at Ethan Flores. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Flores is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Hesperia Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Serrano, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hesperia Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Academy for Academic Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Serrano and Arroyo Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
