Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Glenwood Springs' Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Glenwood Springs took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Eagle Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Demons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Devils 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Demons have posted since September 19, 2024.

Glenwood Springs wouldn't go down easily and took Eagle Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-27, 25-18, 15-12.

Gianna Zambrano had a dynamite game, getting 29 digs and two aces. Those 29 digs gave her a new career-high.

Eagle Valley's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Reese Wright and Cadence Aguilar. Wright had 11 digs and two aces, while Aguilar had eight kills and eight digs. Aguilar is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Glenwood Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Eagle Valley, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.
