Baseball Recap: Rogers Find Success

While Rogers's victory against Woodward wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Polar Bears 8-6. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Polar Bears: they've now won four in a row.

Da'Marion Allen-Gabriel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Rogers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Hendrick, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Krall, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Rogers' victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Woodward, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
