Basketball Recap: North Rowan Takes a Loss

North Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 49-37 to the Salisbury Hornets. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Defeat or not, North Rowan got some senior leadership from Dasia Elder and Allanah McAuthur. Elder dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while McAuthur posted 11 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Elder. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrionna King, who had five points.

North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Salisbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

North Rowan and Mount Pleasant will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Salisbury, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Rowan at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
