Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hill Red Devils vs. St. Albans Red Dragons

The Oak Hill Red Devils are taking a road trip to take on the St. Albans Red Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill will be strutting in after a win while St. Albans will be coming in after a defeat.

Oak Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Charleston 60-25. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Albans faced Nitro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. St. Albans lost to Nitro at home by a 52-36 margin. The Red Dragons haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Oak Hill will need to focus on slowing down Samyah Riggan, one of several St. Albans players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Riggan continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Triniti Austin-Russell was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Oak Hill now has a winning record of 10-9. As for St. Albans, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Oak Hill suffered a grim 54-33 defeat to St. Albans in their previous meeting back in January. Can Oak Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
