Seton faced Blue Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Conquistadors' defense stepped up to hand the Barons a 2-0 shutout. Give Seton's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Philip Vander Woude and Daniel Sokban scored both of Seton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Seton's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton will host Virginia Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Virginia Academy's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Blue Ridge, they will square off against Eastern Mennonite at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Ridge's defense better be ready for this one: Eastern Mennonite have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
