Basketball Game Preview: Union Pines Vikings vs. Hoke County Bucks

Union Pines hasn't had much luck against Hoke County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Union Pines Vikings will host the Hoke County Bucks at 7:30 p.m. Union Pines is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Union Pines ended up a good deal behind Richmond and lost 66-48.

Despite their defeat, Union Pines saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kingsley Donaldson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Kyle, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Hoke County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-44 to Southern Lee. The Bucks haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Union Pines' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Hoke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
