Basketball Recap: Caleb Mathews' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kecoughtan over Heritage

Kecoughtan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 82-65 bruising from the Heritage Hurricanes. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 83-78.

Kecoughtan's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Mathews, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Dryden, who went 6-for-14 en route to 20 points.

Kecoughtan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Heritage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9-1.

As of now, neither Kecoughtan nor Heritage have any future games scheduled.
