Football Recap: Savannah Christian Has No Trouble Against Vidalia + How To Watch

Savannah Christian won the last time they faced Vidalia and things went their way on Friday too. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 37-14 margin over the Indians. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Indians are ranked 329th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blaise Thomas had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 196 yards and two TDs on only 14 passes. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Wesley Dinkins was another key player, rushing for 111 yards on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Savannah Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 194 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Vidalia lost, don't look at ANDRE JACKSON. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and one score on only ten carries. MARQUIS HARVEY helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards.

Savannah Christian's record now sits at 5-3. As for Vidalia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Savannah Christian and Vidalia will both be playing Swainsboro the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
