Baseball Recap: Battle Mountain Wins Going Away Against Meeker

Battle Mountain never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Meeker Cowboys as Battle Mountain made off with an 11-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Shaeffer Dodds8 made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Reed, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jameson Lott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Battle Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Battle Mountain beat Meeker by a score of 15-0 later that day.
