Horizon entered their tilt with Hanks on Wednesday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went their way against the Hanks Knights as they made off with an 11-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Scorpions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin Miller made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple.

In other batting news, Horizon let Damian Lopez and Jakob Mapula run wild. Lopez scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Mapula scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeramiah Paz, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Horizon's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hanks, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12.

Horizon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hanks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
