After soaring to 61 points the game before, McCurdy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 50-24 to the Aztec Tigers. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jazzlyn Gomez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 steals for Aztec. Those 12 steals gave Gomez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Khloe Schmidt, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals.

McCurdy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Aztec, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

McCurdy has already played their next contest, a 62-53 victory against Cuba on the 18th. As for Aztec, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-50 loss against Roy/Mosquero on the 18th.
