There's no place like home for Shenendehowa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Lancaster Legends on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Plainsmen in their matchups with the Legends: they've now won seven in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Shenendehowa got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18.

Nadia Nikiforov paced Shenendehowa's offense, picking up six kills. Nikiforov got some help from Jessica Macken and her 12 assists. Hadley Ennist controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Shenendehowa's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Shenendehowa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Orchard Park on the 30th. As for Lancaster, they will face off against Williamsville East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
