Soccer Recap: Highland Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Highland was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Queen Creek last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highland Hawks fell just short of the Campo Verde Coyotes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now lost three in a row.

Highland's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6-1. As for Campo Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Highland has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Tucson High Magnet School on the 28th. As for Campo Verde, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Mountain Pointe on the 28th.
