Baseball Recap: Seguin Takes a Loss

Seguin came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mansfield Timberview Wolves, falling 14-4. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Seguin got a good showing from Alex Price, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Price has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ledif Figueroa-Cotto was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one triple. He has become a key player for Seguin: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-17 otherwise.
