Baseball Recap: Madera Comes Up Short

Madera had taken San Joaquin Memorial down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Coyotes fell 5-2 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in March.

Madera has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9-1 record this season. As for San Joaquin Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

While Madera had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
