Baseball Game Preview: Grant Generals vs. Eisenhower Eagles

The Grant Generals will head out to take on the Eisenhower Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Grant has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 27.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Grant and Northwest Classen meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Generals fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Eisenhower might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Putnam City West who claimed the real prize. The Eagles came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-4.

Colten Anderson put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Anderson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Santana Gordon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 5-24-1. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
