Softball Recap: Seven Lakes Comes Up Short

After flying high against Morton Ranch on Friday, Seven Lakes came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 10-0 to the Cinco Ranch Cougars on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in February.

Seven Lakes has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Cinco Ranch, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6-1.

Coincidentally, Seven Lakes and Cinco Ranch will both be playing Katy the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will host them at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
